    Both are important to be focused. Without content you can't do link building & vice versa is also true. But as we all know content is the king. So quality content should be promoted at right place like relevant places & social media sites.

    Um, the two are mutually exclusive. The days of link building for "SEO" are gone.

    You obviously need content to start out or your site would go no where. I have a site with over 100 pages of content that does nothing for SEO.
    I also have sites with little content and a lot of link building that are doing great for SEO. Right now link building is much better for SEO.
    My link building sites would destroy a content site for SEO any day. :)

    Hey, dcristo, what makes you say "The days of link building for "SEO" are gone."?
