Coudl some from Digitalpoint answer this?

I have received an infraction for posting an articles for sale thread with "paypal only, $4.75 per article" because the admin thinks this should have been listed as a Freebies?

I don't understand how with price and method of payment specified this can be interpreted as a Freebie?

    ?????????

You got this infraction for breaking the rules. Anything below $5.00 is considered a freebie and should be placed in the freebie section.

I suggest you read the rules to prevent any new infraction.

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1544330

here is a post with an article price breakdown to $4.50. it was not removed.

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1544320

Here is a post with one article $5 and one $4. Not removed.

Do you mean to say if the buy it now price is higher than $5 minimum, it doesn't matter if the breakdown price is less?

Because these haven't been posted or moved, and they seme like the same thing, please convey the details to me about why I receive an infraction and these other posts seem like the same thing yet are still there.

the above post by "Ace" seems like a threat. All i am doing is asking why the policy is irregularly and inconsistently applied.

Anything with a potential value of $5 or less goes in the Freebies forum. If you see other threads that are "freebies", use the report button. Moderators rely on the cooperation of members to identify threads that are misplaced or inappropriate or spammy.

How is that a freebebie that don't make any sense???? People who are looking for paid hosting won't look in the feebebies section.

its the price, we have decided anything $5 and under does not deserve an iTrader so Freebies is where it goes. those are the rules. live with it.

So all people providing content creation @ $1/100 words or whatever should end up in freebies? :)

If you keep moaning about it - you'll probably find you get more infractions. Everybody is tired of seeing topics by people crying about their infractions.

Besides it's hardly the end of the world is it? The infraction will expire eventually - if you read the rules and stickies as you're supposed to before posting...you won't run into any more problems. ;)

Moaning? Maybe if the admins applied the policy uniformly I wouldn't have had the bad example to follow.

i can't get a straight answer about why I out of an entire category of people posting under $5 got infracted. I have posted in the support and feedback area but the posts i wrote questioning this are NOT answered.

you already got your straight answer. there are so many moderators to go around. if you see a problem, use the report post button [IMG] and make a report. many people get infractions everyday, your not the only one. so instead of bitching about it, help us out and do something about it.

Most likely someone reported your thread. If you reported a thread that was not infracted/moved, we can talk about that if you want?

Does that include me because I'm eyeing a VPS seller in the BST threads just just changes his coupon percentage every day and reposts his offer. I;ve reported him or her a couple of times now.

You would need to use the "Report Post" option if you want it to go to the queue to be looked at.

Any chance another member with listings for sale reported mine so theirs would be positioned better?

because if they reported all the violations the other links wouldn't be there, as I posted them this morning trying to get an explanation.

It doesn't matter who reported yours or why. The reason that you got an infraction is because you posted it in the wrong category. If you see others that are in the wrong category, report them.

It doesn't matter what the breakdown price is since the seller is only selling in packs of 10 - so minimum of $45.

If you were selling your two articles as a two-pack ONLY, for $9 you would be fine.

    It's in Freebies now.
