Hi, I want to know that what is the max. word length of article, blog and Press release. Thanks Shiveta
As per the my opinion, 700-800 words article is good article. But as per the SEO purpose, 1200-1500 words is the ideal article size. I have to share one article regarding "Ideal blog post or Article". Please read this: http://www.orbitmedia.com/blog/ideal-blog-post-length/
it depends much to the niche, audience, and other factors. A rule of thumb is - the shorter, the better. People do write these days lots of articles and blog posts of 350-500 words, thought usually to lighten up the subject in a thorough way around 800 is ok. Really good in-depth analytic articles go for 10-15k symbols
When you've said everything you feel you need to say to adequately explain, that is when you need to stop. There is no specific level of content that you need to provide. In fact, bloggers and eCommerce sites seem to do better when there is no standard length of content. One day you have something to say and need 1000 words to say it, another you're just commenting on the weather with a 50 word post. Write for the audience, not an imagined entity waiting to approve your work. You're not in class and there is no teacher waiting to fail you for not explaining your view in an essay. Be you, write for your audience, and everything will be fine.
Business and its cost-effectiveness issue, as well as internet-users every-year-dropping attention are trying to shorten the content lenght, but the writers shouldn't always go for it. There are indications, that Google's soon going to downrank the most popular low-quality content just for being in size category of something between 350 and 500 words -- the most popular size bought at freelancer sites. Of course, the new algorithm won't be that simple, but it will take into account content size and give more value to articles of 800+ or even 1000+ with images, infographics, videos. Google has always been a bit about scientism.
Anything more than 1k words is not recommended according to me, better write 2 articles. Most people will stop or even won't start reading an article if they see it's 2,000 words for example! 600-800 is a perfect length according to me, of course for some niches, it could be too much, for some not enough
The numbers above are too low, in my opinion. The single most popular and most-viewed page on my website — http://www.jimfeeney.org/virtuous-woman-eyes-God.html — is almost 2,500 words long. It is #1 of my nearly 300 pages of articles, and it has received over 1,000 Facebook Likes. Again, it is almost 2,500 words long.
It's never about Max article, it's always about quality content because readers wont show their interest if they found that you article is too lengthy. After all you are writing for them only. You should keep article between 600-650 words, Blog 400-450 & press release 400-450.. I hope that helped you..
It only depends on the website of the article posting. The average length of the article is 800 to 1000 words.
Some questions are better answered using pure logic, instead of following advise. Browsing many forums daily I see the question about article length popping up more and more recently. Truth is that it is very relevant in comparison to the actual content. At the end of the day you are looking to say something interesting, something unique and of value for the reader/visitor. Lets say you sit down and write it, check it - its 750 words. So if I am just following advises I would have to somehow double that content. How would I do that? Stuffing it with fluff and repetition of the main idea predominantly. So at the end I am left with an article which is half as good but fitting in someone else's length rules. And what if I have a product review website? Instead of making short 300 word, straight-to-the-point review I would be stuffing irrelevant information just to get a word count. And those are just a couple of examples. To keep it short - words don't matter if you're not saying anything of value. Your content can be perfect, regardless if it is 300 or 2000 words P.S. Same advise goes for my other "favorite" question - "How often should I post new content?"
In my opinion, a website content must have at least 700 words. The more words your site has, the more information visitors get. However, don't forget to share value information first. That will engage your visitors and make a better conversion.
Well, according to the guidelines an article would exceed 400words but, I'll say that length totally depends upon you I am sure if you are making an article informative and stuffed with information then I will surely go beyond 500words or more. Next thing I would like to add here is don't write content just for the sake of writing other than write content to attract the visitors, I hope you know well that if you are writing about say "About Android" then there is already millions of pages that give information about Android what here I want to say is try experimenting something different like "how to fly a plane using Android" or .... something like that I am sure by doing this you will surely going to get yourself ranked over the SERPs. All the best !!
According to me,If your article is of 800 words, then its considered as Quality content and let me say,Search Engine Love Long Articles. They prefer to show long articles on First Page
seriously ??? How do you know that I can give you thousands of examples where search engine have ranked article of around 350-400 words at the top rather than........ !!
If you want to rank for High Competition Keywords, then your article must be Long and Quality matters.
Does that mean I write a longggggggggg..... and quality article article form high competition keyword say "Android Application Development" am I going to rank on the top of the search engine ??? Well, let me throw a deal I'll pay you thousand buck if you can rank me on the Android Application development keyword. And yes the condition is you will only write one or say 5 longggg.... quality content article for me. No questions asked, Tell me what do you say??
Content length highly depends on your readers interest, understanding and their action on your each post. I think a mix up of some long and small content posts can define you, what length is best suited for your business marketing. Also i find this post valuable to understand the content length phenomenon http://www.quicksprout.com/2014/03/31/how-long-should-each-blog-post-be-a-data-driven-answer/
