    Which blogging flatform is he using?
    If that is wordpress.com, tumblr..or other hight authority web 2.0, the flatform is much more easier to rank than normal own domain website. Morover, his content is engaring and being shared viral and tons of naturally backlink even he doesnot build a single link himself.
