Ok here it is, I am going to do a little experiment.

    Experiment -

    Does Google discredit duplicant content?
Can I rank better for keywords by submitting my article to hundreds of articles directories?

    Keyword -

The keyword phrase I am going to focus on his "stop labrador digging". Yes its a wierd keyword by my position has been at been steady at #11.

    Plan of action -

If I search google for "stop labrador digging" without quotes one of my articles on my site pops up in 11th spot. (clublabrador.com/how-to-stop-a-labrador-retriever-from-digging/ )

I am going to submit this article to 100 article directories. One link in the article will be point back to the article on my site and one link will point back to my main site.

    My questions I want answered?

What will this do to my SERP's?
Will I improve for this keyword?
    Will my SEPRS decrease?
Will google index all the articles on the directory?

I will start submitting them tomorrow mourning when I wake up!

    Your thoughts?

I think Google is no problem with such a duplication content like this, just do it I think that is oke and I suggest you to look at your "long tail traffic as well"because when your "next article base on that I think Google will still respect for the content you upload

to me duplicate content penalties or whatever are a myth, if 1000 sites have the same article then the site with the most power be it pagerank or whatever will rank higher regardless of who posted the article first.

I had two very similar pages in my website and they never appear when searching, so I think Google does in a way penalize duplicate content.

Too many variables to accurately measure. What if AP releases a news story and it hits 150 major newspapers across the country. Will Google not rank those papers?

The article has already been indexed by some article directories and my position for the keyword has moved to 7th for the keyword "stop labrador digging"
