Content Curation penalized with Penguin Update?

    Hi guys, i occassionally do some partial content curation where i grab parts of an article i find interesting, copy it, and paste it in between contents of an article that ive written. Of course, credit is given to the original website and writer ive curated from.

    My question is, will this article of mine get penalized with the new Penguin update?
    I take this is not very much different from Article Spinning.

    Yes, it can be penalized because it is copy of other article no matter full or partial. As per penguin update duplicate or copied content will be penalize.

    If you don't copy the whole article, you should be ok in my opinion.

    Copy only segments and bits and pieces of the article.

    You won't get penalized if you are giving credit back to the
    original article.

    Just make sure that you have a strong opinion about the article
    that you are curating! Video curating is the most powerful
    if you ask me!

    Its not meant to be a half-assed way. I see an article that i feel is relevant and would add to an article that ive written myself.

    Avoid hidden text or hidden links on your blog. Ok, to make it more simple, if you present text, link or any information to search engines differently than to visitors, then they are called as Hidden Text or Hidden Link. That is a bad practice and your site could be easily penalized for that. Normally people use CSS to make them as small as possible. Some even make the font size smaller directly.
