Content creation forum is dysfunctional lately

The last 5 times I answered a post to write content they asked for a full article sample then never got back to me. I know I can write because the people I write for regularly said so.

I decided to stop sending articles and this last time I only sent paragraphs because the guy was asking for three samples. I sent him 3 paragraphs and this was his reply...

    Hi,
    Thanks for your interest.
Please PM me full sample articles (500 word minimum) for me to review.

Am I just having a run of bad luck or are others experiencing this too?

If you write content on that board, you may want to do the same so that you are not providing anyone with free content for their site. Another method is to give them a link to sample work on blogger or something.

I give links to articles on other websites where I have written something or I give them a sample paragraph or two, but I never give them a whole sample article unless it is a paid one.

I would say write a couple of articles about whatever and post them on sites like Associated Content or eZinearticles.

Then in your bio box, tell people that these are samples of your work and leave some kind of contact info if they would like to hire you. Like a DP ref link and your username or a link to your website where they can get in touch with you.

That way when somebody asks for a sample of your work, all you have to do is send them a link to a published copy of an article. Don't have to worry about anybody scamming you that way.

Try only dealing with members with lots of posts and iTraders and never sample a whole article.

Yes, these days people have been switching over to such dirty tricks to extract articles out of people. Not sample problem for me, but yes- people don't seem to reply after we've sent them samples, prices etc etc.
I mean we have a right to know whether we have been selected or not.

Never ever give your full article as a sample, specially if you have written that for your client. As "virkalurk" said, write few articles and add them on article directories and give that link to people who asks for sample and tell them to read your work there.

I also came across many such people who took my work and then never heard from them. So just beware of them.

Never ever give a omplete sample as an article. Send reference threads and/or URLs to published articles
