Under content bids is it smarter to actually bid half of the actual Search network for Content network? Who can best describe content network biddign description and purpose. thanks
Hi jadacrew1, To answer your question about content bidding. Ads are matched to inventory based on keywords so that only relevant ads appear in the list of possible ads to display. The matched ads are then ranked using a formula of which bid price is only one factor. Ads are selected for display using a weighted lottery, so although bidding does affect the likelihood of an ad appearing, it is not the sole determining factor. We recommend that you bid competitively. Evaluate the market for your keywords using the add-in tool. Bid in the higher range to ensure that your bid is high enough to compete and push your ad up in the rankings. If this did not answer your question, Microsoft adCenter does offer a free service of optimization and any Customer Support Representative will be gladly to help with your bids to get the best ROI (Return on Investment) with content ads.
