I have some questions (rather noobish) concerning content and search engines which I gathered together into one block: 1. Will search engines decrease the rank of my site if I copy a full article or its part from another site and put a backlink observing copyright? 2. Does Google and other SE count the frequency of appearance of new content that I add to my site? 3. I have few blogs which I use to advertise my site. Can I change the link or anchor of the link on the blog without negative consequences to my site? How will SE react to these changes? 4. Should I copy-paste unique content after it was indexed from my main site to my satellite sites with the link to the main site? Will it bring any value? 5. Is it necessary for the keywords to be absolutely different on different pages? For example, are "buy viagra" and "buy cialis" considered to be different or the same? Should I change them to "buy viagra" and "order cialis" as an example? 6. How do SE react on changes of old indexed content and key words on the site? Will it have negative impact on my site? I hope there are still good friendly people around to help with these issues

SE loves new content. 3. changing the anchor text, will affect serp for the targetted url. the same anchor text can look unnatural. 4. I would keep my unique content unique to my site. You never if a satellite site could rank better. I heard that the new google caffeine wont only count on age to rank duplicate content or not. not certain of that. 5. "buy food" or "buy drink" are considered different in the entity, but related since they both contain "buy" 6. The change of old content could be benenficial or not. Depending on how well you optimise the content, you will rank better or not. Hope this will help
