Content Ads - Targeting Specific Pages

I wanted to see if I could expand from search and maximize my potential earnings by wandering over to the Content network of Google.

I wanted to do some testing with placement targeting specific pages that I thought were profitable, however after 2 days my campaign has only had 1 impression.

In my adwords account in my campaigns section, I have "Automatic Placements" off and "Managed Placements" I have inputed all the URL's I wanted my ad to be placed on. I also have no keywords in the campaign just the URLs in the "Managed Placement" section.

Now, am I doing this all wrong and do I need keywords in this section even though I'm only inputting certain urls that I want my ad to be shown on? (e.g., www.example.com/sports/soccer/top_10_goal_saves.html).

Also may it be that I'm not bidding enough for clicks? I'm not doing CPM but I am doing CPC. Any guidance will be appreciated thanks :D

Oh yeah, last night I put up a site with a domain I had just sitting in my account, and put adsense on it. I targeted a page I put up and it didn't show my ad either.

Alright I'll do that. But does it take a day for the bids in the content network to update or is it right away?

it takes some time... google needs to see how your ad performs to decide where is best to be shown... the only way to do that is bid HIGH at first and establish a high CTR
