Contacting web portals and blog

    I was thinking about contacting popular web portals and blog and pointing them to my web (project)site.
    But I'm not sure what to tell them in my email?

    I would like to somehow represent my web project to popular blogs and portals in hope they will write articles about it, but I'm not sure how to represent my website. But I'm not sure if they will even read my email.
    Does anyone have any experience with this?

    I am not sure if I understand what you're trying to do? What sites were you trying to contact? I am not sure if portal's like Yahoo! really take submissions like that..

    Try to create accounts in that popular blog sites and write a review about your site by your self.
