Contacting publishers?

I have been using site targeting for a while and have one site that does very well for me on a few topics. They have hundreds of topics and I have dozens of topics that I run adwords on and I'd like to Site Target more topics to the site that's doing well. I can see a lot of topics that related to mine but don't know about their traffic.

So my question is, can I contact one of the site targeted sites' owner and ask about what topics are most popular on their site without violating Adwords terms?

I'm pretty sure you can't contact an advertiser at all without violating the TOS.

    Google is watching you!

I know it would break ToS but if it is just a few emails and they still work through Adsense/Adwords - how would Google find out?

Where in the Adwords TOS does it say anything about not being able to contact sites directly for advertising information?

    No where:)

Hmm the adsense user wouldn't officially be allowed to reply because of:

'Communications Solely With Google. You agree to direct to Google, and not to any advertiser, any communication regarding any Ad(s) or Link(s) displayed in connection with Your Site(s). '

So all you do is contact them and say you're interested in advertising on their site. You don't have to mention that you found them via Adwords.

Yeah that was my point - How would google know if you did it? I don't think they would.

Agreed, they can't. If they had such a policy that would essentially prohibit any website from hosting Adsense ads if they also sold their own advertising.
