Contacting Google

    Hi all,

    I've recently had to contact Google's support department about reintroducing one of my sites back into their index as I have found that it was blacklisted (long story though, we won't go into that) and I was just wondering about some of the experiences that you guys might have had concerning Google.

    I only ask because I sent an email to the "site reinclusion" department and have been eagerly awaiting a response for 3 days straight now, where as I got a response in little under 2 hours when I had an adsense query.

    Long story short: Have you had good/bad experience's regarding emails to Google, have you found them helpful? What's the longest duration you've had to wait for a response, and so forth. Just curious. :)

    I emailed them shortly after our site first launched.....we ranked top 20 for keywords....them BAM...sandbox. I had inquired about why our site disappeared...got only the "Canned" response about checking content, best practices...blah,blah. Ironically we got added into DMOZ and a month later we were out...took 7 months to get unlisted.

    Needless to say; to answer your question, this is the one and only time I have contacted them and I wasn't impressed. Took a week before I even received the canned response. Sort of like trying to contact someone who really doesn't want to be contacted.
