Contacting Category Editors

    Hello,

I was wondering if there is another way to contact a Category Editor of DMOZ? Whenever I try to do so, whether from home of the office, I get a Proxy Error message after I press the Submit Button.

Are the Editors of DMOZ getting the Emails or not?

    Thanks

This message is a problem and it is being worked on, i believe. The editors do recieve the emails but as a general rule, many editors will not reply.

Believe me when i say that we get inundated with emails.

and not all of them polite and mostly asking why their site has not been listed. We stopped doing look ups at Resource zone a long time ago and it is a waste of time writing to ask the editor what the status is of a suggested site. You have suggested a site now forget it it can take from a few days to a few years to get a review for possible listing.

As far as I have read in resource-zone.com they get the email anyway.

The question that raises is whether they send those mails right to the trash bin, or not. After all, contacting an editor is supposed to be wrong. I think that contact link should be removed.

Senior editors in DMOZ can edit in any category and you can contact them for the initial contact through freelance sites such as scriptlance and later you can continue your communication through paypal. ;)

paypal don't have any '' communication '' channels ! they have an '' comment '' of the payment option but that's used and can be used only thru direct payments (* see the help files from paypal official website what means this ) . Anyway ... I don't think those peoples are capable to communicate and interact decently with general peoples.

nb. 5 different threads by same OP .... same type of questions .. same peoples answering ... something is wrong I think or too much beer here :) have a nice day ppls :)

This is the only type of communication which is important, The editors don't want to waste their time. Haven't you heard: Money talks, BS walks? ;)
