SOme WSO i was reading tells about make over site service. The service includes copywriting (article text content) and design graphics and complete maker over of a silly dull or ugly looking website.. The method of getting work for maker over service in the book was said like this.. Contact webmaster by EMAIL (every website has webmasters email or site owners email or whois the domain) Contact webmaster or siteowner by Telephone (telemarketing cold call) Contact the webmaster using Support Contact form (every php asp page has a contact form) the method used was to search local sites and then find shitty ones - do a story board presentation and get an appointment with the person responsible for the websites - then make a presentation to them, tell them how much you charge for a complete make over, get at least half the money upfront. The book tells that B2b (busines websites) and marketing related websites(webmasters with sales letters) responds very well when you offer them something that will benefit their web presence. 20 clients per month of $50 each can easily add up $1000 in orders for make overs.. Selling services seems to always work.. Otherwise how come you see 1000s of orders going from dp buy sell section to directory submission article submission etc PPl need service.. just like ppl need products online..
The bit I personally find challenging is calling the webmasters and business owners (because although I come from a training background I hate cold calling - Even with a script in front of me!!!) Solution? I have a friend, a stay at home mom who helps me with cold calling. By the way, this is a complimentary service on top of other things I do (so no one things that its a FT thing) - Taking it mainstream and full time in the next 6 months, ie offline marketing to small and medium sized businesses. If there's anyone interested in the offline business marketing 'business' (because that's what it is, a business, contact me with your questions and I'll be glad to help if I can.
