Hi, just a quick question. Is it possible that by having the word Free in the title of a consultation form, emails could go straight to spam? For a year we had a consultation form in our website that the title was book your free consultation and just now our IT guy is saying we should take out the word free from the title or else we get important client emails go straight to spam thanks
It depends upon the system you're using to filter your email. "Book your free consultation" certainly sounds a little spammy; but if it's a form on your website coming back to you there should be no problem. If you're sending stuff the the client with that title, then changing the title might be advisable...it does sound spammy. Maybe something like "{Organisation Name}- Your Consultation". If you're sending stuff to clients, you have to get past everybody's email filters.
You can also request major Email companies to put your Email server on their "whitelist". One of the process is to make users on your site to verify their Email addresses. It works on most major email companies except for Gmail I believe.
It is very likely to be truth, I would suggest you to change it because anyway the meaning stays the same: "Book your consultation" .
