    Hi guys,

I'm quite confused by this problem - if you go to my contact page here: http://www.footyblog.net/contact/ it displays a contact form.
Yet when I edit this page, the HTML of the page just displays the text "Please use the form below to contact me." - no contact form information is here, so it should just be an empty page with the words "Please use the form below to contact me."

I don't understand why the contact form is being displayed and where its coming from?

    Thanks for any help!

When I view the source code of your contact page, the HTML code for the form is there. Which contact form plugin are you using?

If you want to edit the look of your contact form, you should go to the contact form settings in your WP admin panel.

I couldn't see any contact form plugins on my wordpress admin so I went and downloaded contact forms version 7 (I think). And then when I inserted a contact form using this it would display 2 contact forms...

How do I get to the contact form settings in my WP admin panel?

Thanks for the reply and for looking!

You should see it under Settings in your WP admin panel.

If you can't see it on the back-end (via wp-admin) then the contact form might be called via plugin, it may also come with the theme or shortcode.

But it's more likely built-in on the theme you are using. Go to your wp-admin>Theme Options and you might see there an option for the contact form / contact page.

I've tried viewing the settings under my admin panel and then the theme options settings but there is nothing to do with the contact form page.

    Anyone got any other suggestions?

    Thanks

I've looked at the page-contact.php file within my theme editor via the wp admin panel and I think its using a javascript file. The page-contact.php file is quite large so not really sure if I should paste it here? But I'm wondering how I can edit the file so that it stops displaying this old contact form and uses one via the contact form 7 plugin that I installed?

It's good that you paste it here but it's best if you find someone who's good in wordpress to see the backend of the site.

I can help you but I need to access the backend (wp-admin) so I can see how the contact form is being called. PM me =)
