Not sure if i want to sell my website or not but if i get a good offer i will gladly sell it. I'm more on the side to sell it so i can catch up on my school and many other stuff i'm busy with such as real estate business and getting engaged next week and all that will bring up.

So my site for sale is www.splaytech.com

    It's listed on dmoz.org allready

If you buy it I will offer you support with whatever you need for as long as you need it.

When you purchase the site you get : the domain name, the website itself with all its pages(over 160 pages most if not all pages indexed by google), etc. The business name, DBA SplayTech, The connections with the distributor since the business name will be under your name, and the yahoo merchants solutions account that's hosting this website using their shopping cart etc. and the merchant account set up with emerchants group.

the site is about 8 months old but only open for about a month,

Buying my site will save you the hassle of finding a distributor for your site, all the hassle of building your own site which could take weeks or even months, saves you time signing up with a good merchant account etc. finding a good shopping cart and hosting, and much much more!

    SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY!

If interested PM me with your offer or any further questions.

i'm not sure what a BIN is?

Price, I would have to start the bidding at $500 most likely if anyone bids this or anything higher it will be accepted.

btw $500 is very cheap for this website since its fully designed which would cost you over $500 to get this site designed, allready has a merchant account set up, shopping cart, hosting, etc. It is also listed in big directories like, JoeAnt, Dmoz, Site-Sift, etc. Also comes with the connections with the distributor which will save you much time and get you great prices to sell at.

Basically the site comes with everything you need to get the business running as it is now, You'll get everything and i will help you with everything every step of the way.

How can you justify that price?

    Google
    PageRank 0
    Backlinks 0

    MSN
    Pages Indexed: 4

    Yahoo
    Backlinks 0

Exactly which page on DMOZ is the site listed? I looked through Consumer Electronics and a few of the sub cats, no luck.

You've built a site up, but don't have any links to it in the two biggest search engines.

Are you only driving traffic from PPC or something?

    dmoz listings, : http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Consumer_Electronics/full-index.html

    http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Consumer_Electronics/S/

Page rank is 0 for now but will most likely be around a 4 next update. Since the website opened only 2 days before the last update.

and i have much more backlinks to SplayTech then 0,

    Here's some links :

    MSN : 1,569 : http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?FORM=MSNH&q=linkdomain:www.splaytech.com

    Yahoo : 939 : http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=linkdomain:www.splaytech.com&fr=FP-tab-web-t&toggle=1&ei=UTF-8

    Site-Sift : pr8 site : link on a pr6 page : http://www.site-sift.com/254

btw if you hired a web designer to build you a site just like this it would cost a lot more then 500 bucks, it would probably cost over 1k maybe even 2k. So the site alone is worth more then what i'm asking for, also it has many links listed in dmoz which is what every webmaster wants and some just dream about it since they can't achieve it, has merchant account set up, shopping cart, hosting, great distibutor allready with the site, and full support with everything and much more. $500 is a very low price for a site like this.

yes I have, i've gotten about 10 sales in the first 3 weeks of having the site open.

btw i just remembered to add, all of the products are also listed on froogle.com and are also listed on yahoo shopping. about $40 or more is left in the yahoo shopping account for ppc, so when buying you also get the $45 i believe as well for the products listed in yahoo's shopping comparison site.

If you buy it you'll probably make your money back in about 2-3 weeks if you market it well.

any bidders? Bidding starts at only $500

Are there any annual fees involved (to distributor, Yahoo, etc.)? If so, could you list them? Interested, but new to this type of site.

    Thanks.

There are no annual fees, the only fee's you would have to pay is for the yahoo merchants solutions account which is about $30 a month and a few cents per transaction to the merchant account, and a few cents per transaction for paypal.

You could always change the merchant account if you want and could always change the shopping cart to a free open source one, and go to a much cheaper hosting service, but the reason i picked yahoo is because it comes with a lot of extra features like 20% off yahoo shopping product submit, so many free scripts, and much more.

The distributor account was completely free to sign up with them and no charges to buy from them, If there was any charge to be able to buy from them they wouldn't be a good distributor.

Do you have to be based in the USA to run the site?

You don't have to be based in the US to run the site but the distributor will only ship products to US, Canada, PR, and US Virgin Islands.

If that's the case i recommend you get an 800 # or a toll free # that anyone from the US could call you since all or most of your customers would be there.

I'm UK based, how would that stand with Yahoo! Shopping & the merchant account? Do you not need a US mailing address to get listed in Yahoo! Shopping?

I doubt you need a US address to get your products listed on yahoo shopping. You just have to sell the products in US dollars at a fixed price.

Here's a link to the requirements page of yahoo shopping : http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/shopsb/shpsb_reqs.php

The merchant account is seperate from yahoo, It is with emerchantsgroup.com since yahoo doesn't offer merchant accounts.

btw you wouldn't have to pay $30 a month to get a gateway through authorize.net since you could use yahoo's gateway with merchant solutions for free, since it comes with the package!

Well, it seems like it is $500 for the name and address of your supplier and a basic yahoo store setup, am I missing something?

    It's much more then that!

You get the domain name that is 8 months old.
Not just the name of my supplier, but if you buy the business name then you will allready have a supplier set up so you could get products from them, which are the same products on the website, all of the products come from the same supplier. The yahoo store setup, but not just that I also listed all the products in yahoo shopping, for $50 and the products are still listed in yahoo shopping! Also the products are also listed on froogle.com and also the site has a merchant account set up to accept visa and mastercards, and paypal as well.

The site will also be most likely a pr4 by the next update, and has many backlinks and from big sites, and is also listed in dmoz which everyone dreams about if it hasn't allready happened for their site. What more could you ask for from a site just starting out. It's a great opportunity for someone looking to run a successful business online, its allready established in many aspects just needs someone who is willing to put time and effort to it to make it big. I currently don't have that time, and this site has tons of potential!

    Any further questions please ask!

I think you're asking too much mystic. You want $500 for a relatively new domain, a brand new website, and it won't show any decent impact in the search engines until the next google update (2-3 months).

Furthermore, whoever wins this has to pay $30/month just to keep the site running, that's pretty steep. Yes Yahoo does give you some really good things for working with them (I love how they give you a free directory listing for a merchant site).

How much revenue did the site drive in the past month? You posted the number of sales, but I would like to see $$ figures.

If you would like to buy the site you don't have to use yahoo's merchant solutions, i could cancell that for you and when you buy it you could have a hosting account set up somewhere else for only 5 dollars a month if that's better for you. But i'm not familiar with other shopping carts but if you are you could set it up with a free shipping cart like oscommerce, or cubecart etc.

I am not 100% sure of the revenue i won't know till the end of the month but it seems like about 400 dollars. btw for some reason this site has gotten more fraudelent order rather then normal ones. When that happens i just mark them fraudelent under yahoo's risk tools and leave them there.

I can almost guarantee you that you'll get your $500 back within less then a month if you market it well and not just sit back and relax.
