It wont pull out security holes. A forum site needs it like that. Although you can set it as 644 later on. Do it like that for now, see how things work, let us know about your problem if its solved or not. (atleast you wont get hacked so quickly LOL, and it is not that its tottally unsafe. It is like 1% that things happen due to that, i have my own site on for 5-6 months on permissions as 777. no probs atall..!
youu sure? last thing i need right now is an hack attempt, or worse a SUCCESSFUL hack attempt - dont want too loose all my hair this is frustrating as it is!
It is the problem of hosting company . What you can do is waiting for their action . After they move your site to another server/hosting, it would be OK.
Well, keep a backup before you do anything ... then no probs.. Dont worry actually. it would mostly do the job. try it once..
Yeah I've made a few back ups, but it's the host - I know it anyone else got WP Hosting recommendations? that you can pay monthly but NO contracts, all of them require you to pay $100+ upfront =[
Okay guys! I've moved to HawkHost and so far it's pretty good. The sites up and running, but i'm experiencing lag not sure if its the host or my wordpress or just my internet? site usually takes 2-3 seconds to load but now it takes 6-8! any input?
*snickers* thats the first thing that came to mind. Contact your host, if it keeps up go to another host account
hey, yeah that is the site link. we going to start from scratch. so site's going to be down probably for the next 4-6 hours sorry for that
