    - You dictate your rules about selling text links to the mass
    - You make a fake(random) pr export to the toolbar , a lot of sites' pr goes down , this time it is also unpredictable cause it is not valid.
    - People begin to talk about it over and over and they begin to frighten to be hit by your thunder. They begin to obey you and sacrifice their directories to you.Cause man are afraid of what he does not know and what he can not measure guess.

This is how the masses are ruled.
I stand against it and will continue to sell links , it is your job to give reliable results not mine.

    It's all propaganda

Propaganda [from modern Latin: 'propagare', literally "extending forth"] is a concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behavior of large numbers of people. Instead of impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense presents information in order to influence its audience. The most effective propaganda is often completely truthful, but some propaganda presents facts selectively to encourage a particular synthesis, or gives loaded messages in order to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the cognitive narrative of the subject in the target audience.

Google is expert in the use of it to keep webmasters guessing and forums full of speculation and misinformation!

Can't blame them as the value of their shares continues to grow..

people are lemmings more often than not.

As a next step google will give a little boost to those use "no follow" tag so others will say "oooo mighty google we have made a mistake" and google would get what they wanted from us.

As a counter attack I am putting dummy links with no follow tags to my sites.

Google's dilemma is they can not touch established sites that will effect their public relations if we emulate them we can survive from this attack.
All you see is a big lie and google is not as relevant as it was before.

Webmasters can do whatever they like. Google isn't the internet, it's just a search engine. If you don't like what they do, ignore them, and use other ways to get people to know about your site. It seems to me that the people who do the most complaining about google, are the ones that most in thrall to it.

you fail to realize that people who use the search engines don't care about PR, buying links, webmasters feelings ect....they just search and when they find what they are looking for they are satisfied....

    Well said, +rep

I'm so tried of people complaining about they can't sell text links anymore. Doing that is manipulating the pagerank system and SERPs. If you don't think so then you don't know much about SEO, your basicly buying and selling pagerank and SERP placement. Just because a system is broken does not mean you should cheat it.

That was very well said, but also, if people are using a search engine to find something, you want your keyword to be the first one, because not many people will even go to the 2nd page if they find something that interests them. That is why creating the quality backlinks and pr somewhat begin to matter.

That is called cheating, if you pay to get your pagerank\serps beyond the natural way.

At the end of the day the best content on the subject should be at the top of the SERP's - and that often wont be the site with the most links

As others have said - Google wants to deliver the best results for the user and does not care about the webmaster - and rightly so.

That is why the whole link selling "industry" is now being hammered :)

You can continue to rank naturally , but this is the first time a search engine is dictating the rules , today "no follow" tomorrow guess what ?

The whole selling link industry is based mostly around cheating the system to get higher pagerank and SERPs. Which in my eyes as a webmaster is cheating and unacceptable.
