Consolidating Sites

I now have 6 sites that I've added to the network and want to consolidate those sites. I've opened one of my accounts and clicked on the dropdown box to "Consolidate Weight." But nothing happens.

Is there some information somewhere on how to do this?

Do I have to open different accounts for each site, ( with different usernames ), and then bind them; or is there a way to do it under 1 name?

Ah-ha! I didn't see that on the "edit account settings" page. There doesn't seem to be instructions that I can find anywhere about how to do this, or what the advantages/disadvantages are.

I see you can check a box to "send all weight to master." Am I correct in assuming that if this box is NOT checked, that the weight is evenly divided among the sites? Or is it divided some other way? I'm trying to figure out if this is going to be advantageous, but without knowing that, I have no idea.

Also, I have 6 sites. Which is the master account? The first one I set up, or can I choose any of them to be the master account?

Are there some FAQ's somewhere on this issue?

    Linda,

The master account can be any account you have created. So basically choose any account to be your master account and go to "Edit Account Settings" when you are logged into your coop ad network.

You will notice a "Bind to Master Account" box towards the buttom. Enter the username and password of that master account and click submit. Do that to all the accounts you wish to consolidate.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks, Cyber-SEO.

Once I do that, though, how is the weight among all the sites divided. I understand that if I check the "send the weight to master" box, it will all go to the master account. But what happens if I DON'T check that box? Is my total weight from all the sites divided equally among the sites? Or does each site keep it's current weight?

Not understanding those questions, I haven't decided if it makes sense to consolidate the accounts.

Thanks for any insight you can give.
