I have recently started up a site, www.consoleguides.com . I'm new at this, so could some members please critique the site on the design and the placement of the ads? There's not many guides on the site, but can I also have some opinions on the content? Thank you.

The design is nice and clean, which is a nice change for a gaming site. Most are so busy you have no idea where to look or click. Re ad placement, try to find a way to integrate some of the AdSense into the content itself.

I used to own a site in this niche, and it's really crowded right now. The more content, the better, because there's no shortage of reading material about next-gen consoles, and some of the sites are very good.

Also, I'm not sure what your console biases might be, but my site used to get its best traffic and clicks whenever I posted something about the Nintendo Revolution. There's a lot of folks on the web chasing news about the Revolution (or whatever it will eventually be called).

    Good luck with the site,

I don't see any error text at all, is this the case with anyone else?

Well, if you look at one of my guides, I put a half banner in the middle of text. Is that a good placement? Should I put a full banner at the bottom?

I was thinking of having guides the the major gaming sites probably won't have, like running homebrew software for example. I was also thinking of making video versions of some of the guides, maybe hosting them with Google video or something like that to save bandwidth.
