Consistently Lowering CPM Rates?

I hate threads like this usually, but it seems as though something has been adjusted at Yahoo because my CPM rates have been rock bottom. This entire week, compared to last week, has been making 1/6 earnings, down from low/mid $xx/day to single digits today. Each day has been progressively worse.

Anyone else experiencing such a dramatic and progressive hit? Or am I just unlucky with the advertisers.

You are not alone. I moved mine back to AS today. Will monitor on one site now to see if it pops back up, but right now I cannot afford to sit and wait.

Yea its good to know im not alone. I've literally had a $10 CPM drop.

I'm going to stick with them for the next week and if theres no improvement I'm going back to AS until it improves.

Can't blame them I guess, they ARE beta.

    LOL

YPN is still in it's beta stages, and you shouldn't make such quick decisions because suddenly your rates drops. Did you factor in how many you had compared to when you were making xx? Or whatever?

If you hate the CPM of yahoo that much, then just go back to AS. No one is forcing you to use YPN anyways.

I have heard that sometimes Yahoo! Publisher Network earnings take forever to update...perhaps you are being displayed the wrong pricing and maybe it'll correct itself? If not, are the earnings still better than AdSense at the least? :p

I'd say the earnings are a worse than adsense right now by a bit, yea, for me. I know no one is forcing me to stay but I wanted to see if this was just me or if maybe Y was making some beta adjustments across the board.

Have all of your other variables stayed the same? # clicks, etc?

My earnings dropped from high $xx a day to low $x a day. Same traffic, # of clicks...

So I stratified all different ad categories across all my sites, to see if the particular one I was in was underperforming. Turns out they all performed the same- bad.

... Here's hoping Yahoo can swing the other way for a few weeks :p

Alot of it is obviously based on your niche. Some of us are experiencing low results and some are experiencing huge results.
