Hi, I am totally new to online advertising. I am trying to learn what I can about Adwords. I want to get started on advertising immediately, as I know that's the only way to to get exposure. This is why I'm considering the jumpstart program. It will take quite some time for me to learn what I need to know to get going efficiently. I have a limited budget however. But, if this Jumpstart program works, I'm willing to pay for it. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to do anything stupid and waste any money. I am willing to pay if it is not a waste. Thanks, Bel
I am not familiar with the "jumpstart" program, although I do suggest using adwords to bring traffic to your site if serps dont yet do that for you. Just set a daily budget you can afford, and open/close the ads to benefit you.
Don't be in a hurry if you have limited funds. Learn all the numbers and don't believe any one sources claims. You could very easily be accelerating your losses, depending on what your site is. It may be worthwhile to spend the $299 and let google come up with something, but if you are for instance selling amazon books, you will just lose money. But a lot of people throw a few hundred away before they figure out what works in adwords.
Some people think that Google have canceled their account for getting traffic from adwords, just a rumor. I kind of doubt it is true. Good luck st12
Spend some time here at DP in the AdWords forum reading and asking questions - that's one of the best ways to learn about AdWords. Take a couple dollars and run a few test campaigns as well. That will help you get a feel for the AdWords interface. The jumpstart program will get you up and running quickly, but, you really won't learn much as Google will be handling the setup etc.
Invest in a good Adword's book, such as Andrew Goodman's. Having profitable PPC campaigns would have to be one of the hardest things to do online, so you want to be learning from the right guys.
