Introduction
I started pixhosting.info roughly a couple of months ago, mainly to have a free custom image hosting for personal purpose, but the site gets quickly very popular as an image host for forums, for ebay and for myspace.

What does pixhosting.info offer?
pixhosting.info offers unlimited free image hosting, guests can upload files up to 10mb, while member can upload images up to 20mb size. Unlimited refers to the amount of traffic, there is no limit of bandwidth usage for thumbs or for images.

What makes this site so special?
pixhosting uses a customized image hosting script based on http://www.free-php-scripts.net. In the admin area you can browse the file, set all the needed settings, and see statistics for each image: views, size, bandwidth used ecc. Also this script uses a completely URL rewriting based on .htaccess for search engine friendly URLs. A basic membership management is also included.

Tell me about the actual usage!
The site has more then 70 registered users at the moment, and more then 400 regular users. At the moment the site hosts more then 6000 pictures serving more then 2668908 image views.

What about the revenue?
This site uses to kind of advertising: adsense and layerads. From google I'm making roughly 5 to 8 US$ a day, making about 150 to 180US$ a month. I have not optimized it for adsense, so if you know a bit about adsense or use other ad provider such ad adultfriendfinder, you probably can drammatically increase this numbers!
layerads is a german based company, to each unique user once every three hours will be presented a flying in dhtml banner, you get between 1.5 to 4 Euros for 1000 banners! Thats where it comes in really handy if you have a lot of unique visitors.

Any proof of traffic
pixhosting.info is running on a dedicated server (monthly cost 49 Euros). You definitely want a vps or a dedicated for this site, you're not good off with a shared hoster!
Please consider that I have some probs with my logfile processing by awstats, where there is indicated less then 1000 uniques a day is only a problem by awstats, so actually unique visitors and pageviews are even higher!

Pretty nice site.. What server are you hosting on? I imagine it must be pretty big to hold all those 20mb/10mb pictures? Also does the server delete the images after awhile? Like if they are inactive? Thanks
