Conservatives Call for Bush & Cheney's Impeachment - Now!

A number of Conservatives have recently come out in support of impeaching George Bush and Dick Cheney - NOW - in order to restore the Constitution and the balance of power in our three branches of government.

Bruce Fein - A Conservative Constitutional Scholar who was Deputy Atty General under Ronald Reagan, says that they have to be impeached because of all the unconstitutional power Bush has collected unto himself with the help of the Republican Congress over the last 6 years. He points out that Bush has taken more power unto himself than King George or Julius Caesar ever did. Neither of them ever claimed that they could reach into other sovereign nations anywhere in the world, kidnap someone, and hold them indefinitely without a trial and without notifying anyone.

Here is a video of a round table discussion of impeachment with Bruce Fein,Bill Moyers and Jon Nichols.

Paul Craig Roberts, The "Father of Reaganomics", a conservative economist who was asst sec of Treasury under Reagan, is also calling for impeachment because of his concerns about how Bush may intend to use the vastly increased powers he has gathered for himself.

He opened a recent article saying:
These are not "left wing loonies",these are lifelong Conservatives with serious credentials who just happen to be paying attention to what has been going on over the last few years. (Its about time after 1000s of lives have been lost! [IMG])

That statement would really help to cover real terrorist activities and their supporters well...

The angered part of me would like to see him impeached so the history books remember him for the mistakes...

But the logical side says that would be a huge waste of resources that could be better allocated towards doing something productive...

mistakes? You mean tax cuts and one of the best economy's that the US has ever had?? What about Saddam Hussein being GONE? It seems to me that if clinton had gotten osama when he could have, we might not be in this mess to begin with.

Ridding the world of saddam was not the point of going to war; remember the WMD argument?

In my opinion, misleading the American public is a mistake...

As for the economy, yes there is a lower unemployment rate now then there has been for a while... But look at the average salary; people are earning less...

    So by stating:
    is not completely correct...

for the WMD argument, I will point you to Gtech's post:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=1806583&postcount=196
people are not earning less than they have been before...you are incorrect in that. Furthermore, I want a source that you can back up that claim..

in the mean time, consumer confidence is at a 6 month high
    http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8QNM25O0&show_article=1
The Dow keeps breaking record after record high (it is DOUBLE what it was when Clinton was in office), companies such as GM are actually posting profits instead of losses, the price of gas has dropped $.17 in the last two weeks, and it is a great time to buy a house with low interest rates and mortgage companies doing all they can to turn a profit.

Then I will point you to my post which debunks that post... Enjoy:

From 2001 to 2006 the median household income went DOWN 0.5%

so rather than actually address Gtech's post...you stated that:
you personally don't like the definition....in other words, it doesn't fit with your agenda and you want to adjust it so that it does...looks like you just debunked your own post. good job (clapping)....
so you are quoting 2006, which is a year ago...also, I checked with the census bureau, Social Security online, and the Bereau of Labor stats. Below are the sources which show that 2007 has been a great year for people, because income averages are going UP!! The Census bureau doesn't even have records after 2005, so how you can claim to have info to 2006 I am not sure:

    http://www.census.gov/hhes/www/income/income.html

    from the SS website:
again, everything going up, not down.
    http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/COLA/AWI.html

    http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/Sur...ol=latest_numbers&series_id=CIU1010000000000A

This shows that once again, 2007 has everything going UP! I guess this is the graph you might have used...but I think it is important to realize that a decline has not been a steady fall or climb. The economy does not work like that. Instead it is a rollercoaster. Glad to know I could do your work for you.

Are you kidding me? I don't think there is any "definition changin" going on... Weapons of Mass Destruction should not include an RPG/IED/VBIED... It's not worth arguing with someone that hasn't been there; what level security clearance do you hold? You're a lot less informed then you believe yourself to be...

I did my research at the end of last year (nov 06), so of course I didn't have access to 2007 info...

I'm not saying the economy isn't doing good, it's just not doing GREAT... The number of people working minimum wage jobs has gone up, and with it the median income has gone down, which I showed...

    I showed that your statement:
is wrong... The median income went DOWN... Yes, like a rollercoaster, but down nonetheless...

I rest my case...you want to change the definition to fit your agenda...

therein lies the problem...go back and read my post...I was talking about the current economy, not the past. And just so you know, even if there was a .05% drop from 2001-2006, there has been a .05% GAIN in 2007 alone...again, this is a great economy.
The median income went down for previous years, but in 2007 it is on the RISE...liberals love to live in the past, I realize that....but again, CURRENTLY we have a very STRONG economy, which is producing things that we have not had for a very long time. Currently we are in one of the best economy's that the US has ever seen. All my data that I provided shows this. However, if you choose not to include 2007 and all current data, then your point makes sense. As I said, liberals love to live in the past, oh doom and gloom...boo hoo...

Also, would you rather have a big umemployment rate, or people actually working? Your statement:
sounds like you would rather people be lazy and umemployed...maybe then you could blame something on those mean, evil rich...

    you should watch the video
Bruce Fein is the person that wrote the first article impeachment for clinton
and he has a very logical reason why he thinks impeachment is necessary
he argues that the adminestration have waged an attack on the constitution

I did watch the video...what I would like to know is why the sudden change of heart? what is really going on? I will agree that the congress got out of control, but they are actually no better in control now. Impeaching Bush and Cheney won't solve anything, other than to get revenge for impeaching Clinton.
