Connectivity issues

I have a website (a forum, in fact) and there is a visitor that has been getting 404's for nearly two weeks.

I contacted my webhost, and my domain name registrar, and both told me that the problem was not from their end.

Both said the connectivity issue was from this visitor's end.

Isn't that strange? What sort of glitch could that be?

    This is very possible.

You can check by getting the person to go into command prompt and get their IP with the command "ipconfig"
Then do a trace from that IP to your server IP.

You can also get them to try a 'repair' on their connection to clear some of the dns cache.

This type of issue usually clears itself up.

    Regards,

Is this that Window glitch where people have to flush their DNS cache? Or something else?

I asked him to clear his DNS cache, with instructions.

    No luck.

I asked him to do a traceroute:
Hop (ms) (ms) (ms) IP Address Host name
    1 2 1 0 66.98.244.1 gphou-66-98-244-1.ev1.net
    2 0 0 0 66.98.240.106 -
    3 0 0 0 67.15.245.6 ns1.siteground145.com

    Looks good.

    I am puzzled!
