Suddenly I have a connection problem when trying to access my site (at Netfirms) while using a router I have always used. If I bypass the router, all is well. I can go to other sites, all over the place, including some other sites I have hosted at Netfirms. I cannot even ftp to the site. Netfirms says the problem is all mine, but I am thinking that if other people could possibly have a problem due to their nameserver set-ups, the problem is due to them. Why would I be able to access all internet sites I have ever tried but cannot get to my own? It is baffling. I have done all kinds of clearing of caches and even switched over to a different nic, but I want to be able to browse to the site using my router. I believe it is all due to their nameserver set-ups. Traceroute times out as soon as it gets to the hops at Netfirms. Am I correct in pushing them to make sure my site is browsable?
Is it possible that a firewall could be the issue here. And it could be yours or netfirms. Have you called them about this? I wouldn't think it would be the name server setup as your site is accessible without the router. Let me know what you find, this is interesting. Regards!
