    Hello,

I have a Notebook running Windows Vista Home Basic and it has an inbuilt 802.11 a/b/g WLAN and I want to connect this to my PC running on Windows XP Professional to share Internet and Files. I dont want to use Bluetooth for this. I want to make use of WLAN in my Laptop so what hardware should I purchase for my PC to do this.

its better to purchase a wireless router. so that you can connect to the internet with your laptop even when your PC is turned off.

Just buy a wireless router ($20-50) then you can share files/internet/printers/etc (pretty much anything!) Plus you can also use it with any computers you have rather than just your computer and your laptop.
