I've just ordered a new tv. It's a 32" Samsung and I would like to connect my pc to it so it acts as the monitor and I would also like to be able to play music from my pc and for it to use the tv speakers.

    How would i do this?

    The tv is here http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/8986397/Samsung-Series-4-450-32-LE32B450-HD-Ready-Freeview-LCD-TV/Product.html

It has a PC input (D-sub)

Any help would be great :)

Isn't D-sub just the 'normal' old (pre DVI) monitor connection standard?

You should just be able to get an old monitor cable and plug it in between your PC and new TV.

Its easy. Connect the monitor wire you use to your TV and speaker wire of CPU to TV and it will work nicely. :)

    is your pc a desktop?
if so and it does not have HDMI on the graphics card, I would just buy a graphics card that has one. They are not that expensive and it would look way better than vga is going to look. I would say dvi would be fine, but vga is not that great. and you will see how bad it looks on such a large screen.

Take a look at something like this if you don't game.

Why did you ordered Samsung dude LG provides a seperate port to use as monitor you should have tried that one.

I'm using my LG Scarlet 42 inch TV as monitor to play FIFA :D

Its really a good experience to play in big screens :D
