    I'd like to congratulate Shawn (the man who started DP for those of you who didn't know) for something I found while browsing digg.com. I stumbled across this post. I read all the way through before it dawned on me who's blog I was reading. I just thought to myself "boy, what a silly mistake on their part".

    Ok it’s about time someone asked a stupid question so here goes....

    Doesn’t the state provide you with an attorney if you can’t afford one?

    I remember something in the lines of “you have the right to remain silent, anything you say or do can and will be used against you in the court of law, if you cannot afford an attorney one will be provided to you, blab bla bla…”

    You guys get the picture :confused:

    A few thousand bucks so far... but I'm sure it's going to get a lot more expensive.

    I believe that's only the case for a criminal suit. Mine isn't criminal, it's civil.

    I was just wondering. Here you get a free layer for whatever reason you might need them for.

    During the past few months I’ve been reading on these lawsuits and one thing that I find in common with nearly all of them is that they are either directed at students or relatively poor people. So the question is, how did you get mixed up in this? :D
