confused with my lack of rank

I have a site called www.cheapchicago.net. We rank #1 on MSN for the query:cheap chicago. We used to show up on Google, in a bad place. For several weeks now we don't show on Google at all. I know we have some fair incoming links (nothing impressive by any means), but if we are so high on MSN, it seems like we should at least be in the first 100 on Google. We do get crawled by Google.

    Any thoughts?

MSN is easy search engine, but has no traffic
For Google, new websites have to wait for longer time

How is it that everyone says MSN is easy to get listed on?

Hi, the site is not new at all. It's been around for at least a year and a half, maybe longer. Google crawls it and used to list it.

Google is a bit more reluctant to rank new sites.
MSN, and to a lesser extent Yahoo, are a lot easier but have a lot less traffic.

In Google in can take up to a year to get listed. I know this is probably not what you want to hear, but that’s the truth. Search for 'Sandbox' in this forum, some say it is a myth some say it happens...

Use that time to build content, backlinks and so on. So that once you are ranked you should do ok.
