Option 2 and 3 looks good especially with the 4gb RAM.

Option 2 CPU is marginally slower than Option 1 but the additional 2gb RAM would indeed be of great help. The SCSI is great if your sites makes a lot of disk access, great for streaming media.

Option 3 SATA II on the other hand gives you way more harddisk space and the RAID 10 seems like a neat option for data redundancy. SATA II is not too shabby and is a great option

I would choose between Option 2 and 3 but it all depends on what your needs are.

Well, actually there is not a BEST server. They are different servers for different needs. However, if you are planning to grow and you have the money, I would go for option 3. Those are 4 500GB disks in RAID10 which means a stripe of mirrors, it will give you not only redundancy but a performance boost for your sites and/or databases. Also a decent amout of RAM and a good processor, I would go for that one ;)

#2 is the best bang for the buck, while #3 is the best. :) I'm curious, who are you getting these offers from? I have my servers through Jewlzk.com and haven't found anyone else to match them in terms of specs/price. :)

It wotn be of any use unless you've EXTREMELY resource consuming sites.

4 Cores would be more than enopugh. If you want to host personal sites(not proxies), then option 2 is great. WHile if you have high bandwidth proxy sites as well, option 3 is great!

Uptime has been perfect and I have personally gotten a great deal on bandwidth that I'm not sure others would get, but in general it's around $20-25 per 1Mbit unmetered, if you want to go that route. Otherwise Roland (the owner) will figure out something custom for you at a price that will work. Since my site is a downloads site, I require lots of bandwidth and fast transfers, so for my main server it costs me around $670 a month for an extremely powerful server and a 40Mbps unmetered dedicated connection. :) I've been to A LOT of hosts, and that's pretty darn good. :)

I'll be hosting 2 social networking websites which consumes lots of resources an now iam in vps and if more than 20 members come online at a time my site is becoming terribly slow..... This situation is with one site and iam planning to start a similar site.. so i think i'll go for the 3rd one....
