    Hello guys!

I have already installed bbPress in my blog here:

    http://www.bogartkick.com

The problem is, where's the forum? I want to integrate this to my WP blog. I'm confused and I don't know what's next. I'm already in the settings and just created my own user and pass, and I don't know what's the URL of my bbPress. I want this to be solved, please help me.

    Thanks!

To access your forum you will just point your browser to the url where the files are located on your server. If I am not mistaken you can click the title in the upper left of the settings page to take you there.

However, I must say that BB Press is very buggy, and has not made much progress since its release. I wouould personally recomend simple:press. It integrates much nicer and gets better with every release.

Don't even bother trying to "integrate" bbPress with WordPress. I use bbPress all the time, but never integrate it with my WordPress database. They claim to have WP integration but it's really awful in my experience.

On top of that I really don't see the point, why would you want your forum users also to have an account on your blog? They can still comment on the blog as a guest should you allow it.

The closest thing you can do is make a "matching" theme for your bbPress which can match your WP blog. The themes operate in similar ways (with template tags and such) so hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult to figure out.

Also Matt Mullenweg stated that bbPress might be becoming a WordPress plugin soon, so you might want to hold out for that, since there's supposed to be much better integration. I'm not sure if there's any time frame for that, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Again, I can't stress simple press enough.

    1. It is already a plugin, and will integrate very nicely into your current theme.
    2. It is managed from your wp admin panel, you don't have to fool with another login.
    3. It integrates with akismet.
    4. The beta release of the next version integrates with xml-sitemaps plugin.
    5, it works damn good.
    6. The support is incredible! Hands down the best support team for a free forum.

I can go on all day. Why wait on bbpress to catch-up when one is already there?
