Found a company and they claim to sell page rank pemanet links pr 1-4 I have been reading that this will hurt me with google than I hear its the only way to get started?? Not sure what to do? Thanks in advanced
What do you mean with "it will hurt me"? If you buy links and Google know it, they will only filter your links. If you are the link seller, then Google might penalize you. If Google penalize link buyers, everyone will buy links for their competitors There are many ways to build links. Don't give up just yet.
If the links are No-Follow, what is the use of buying? As they don't pass page rank, they don't do any good. Its always better to look for free ways of link building and always build your links naturally over a period of time.
Buying permanent PR links is a waste of money because now they have PR4 and next month they can have PR 0. It's better to buy links on a monthly basis, cheap.
TO ALL POSTERS PREVIOUSLY THINKING THAT NOFOLLOW LINKS ARE USELESS: In a time long long ago, before off site SEO, the whole point in backlinks was to generate traffic to your site. thats right, for people to actually click on the links and look at your site and buy whatever it is that your selling. As long as you look for links that actually create value by sending you traffic, then they are far from useless - and lets face it, a link from a PR4 page that has zero traffic, that will get its PR dropped, well THATS useless isnt it...... as long as you have a clear picture in your head as to what you actually want, then you can succeed in buying good links. do you want traffic that pays the bills, or do you want to look at a pretty pagerank value in the google toolbar? I know I prefer TRAFFIC, not an inflated PAGERANK.....
My experience says, that better to ask for test period, but it's not popular to provide test period links
I don't know for sure, but as someone already said, I wouldn't pay a lot for a permanent link with a site just because it has a PR-4, because it may not be a PR-4 tomorrow...
yea why not its very effective, every one buys text links Heres a good write up on getting links http://www.dewittsmedia.com/seo-blogs/link-building/the-best-way-to-get-links/
Don't buy links until your site can support the costs. Even then, will it be worth it? A competitior will tell Google and the source will get a PR0. You paid for a ~ PR4 and wind up with a PR0. There are no refunds... Second, a link that is short term (i.e. < 6 months) is worthless for PR reasons. There may be value in the Anchor Text aspect but not purchased. Suggestion try the following http://www.catanich.com/link-popularity-enhancement.asp It takes longer but it works.
You should only ever buy links for traffic, Not to artificialy boost your google PR or SERPS. Read G's TOS on paid links.
