    Hello everyone!

I am doing a website up for a NP Company that is holding a charity basketball/hockey/not sure what else, in our area.

I am to design the website and have some sort of EASY cms make it so they can easily update a scoreboard.

I don't even know how I should do this?

    Would it be PHP?

I am fairly fluent with HTML, JS, JAVA, VB, PHP..

Well as fluent as a 17 year can be.

Any sort of direction would be amazing, im sure there must be some website offering tutorials/program for this.

I cannot find it on Google though.

Check Joomla, Mambo, Drupal, Typolight. All CMS.
It's important that you look at them from two sides: How easy to use for the end user. How easy to setup for the admin (you). Whenever possible choose the one that is easier for the end user, even if that means that the setup is more difficult.
Basically, you install the CMS, make a nice "template" (=design), create a workflow and then assign accounts to the users.

    Thank-you for your time!

I have looked into full-page CMS's and it unfortunatly does not meet what I need it to do.

    Thank-you anyways.

I really need just a snippet to be CMS'ed (is that a word?).

If you are fluent in VB or PHP why are you even asking the question? A simple scoreboard system would be easy to write from scratch.

Wordpress is very good, I suggest also looking at Mambo, Joomla. I here good things about TypoLight and SilverStripe but have no experience with these two. Sometimes you need to install and give it a test drive. Also look at the plug-ins and see if they do what you are looking for. Look at the forum and see if it is active.

    Good Luck :)
