Confused by these awStat numbers

    I got these numbers in my awStats

    Unique: 5k
    Hits: 47k
    Not viewed hits: 150k

    How do I block those not viewed hits? I don't want to block google spider etc... ;)
    BTW, are those numbers good enough to make about $200-$300 a month in advertising from this website?
    Considering its just stats of 10 days in this month...

    Hey,
    well Traffic not viewed includes bots and spiders also not found pages. Not to block bots is not an easy task, I personally use a security plugin on my sites, this shows me the traffic that is from bots and also hack attempts (which many of the 404 pages are from hack attempts) and then I can manually control and block them.
    You can see the log to your host as well to see IP addresses from various sources. You ca always block them through server side tools such as .htaccess file.
    Make sure you know how to work htaccess and also have a copy at all times.
    Google analaytics also gives you good stat on your site but not the best for individual IP addresses.
