Wow, I just came across the interesting tool for Ebayers out there http://www.myepnreport.com/ Thanks to Kerosene for this one, and it turned out to be a real eye opener for me. I've been building Joomla based EPN affiliate sites for about a couple of weeks now - youcan check out my thread if you are really interested, but very few sales. However, a week or so ago i sold some stuff through this site - http://indianajoneslego.info and I assumed it was - well Indiana Jones lego - but this report showed me that it was ladies clothes - definately not listed on my site. So, it begs the question, i assume the buyer had been referred to Ebay via my site and the later purchased some clothes in another auction. Does this mean that you get ALL sales from a referred visitor while the cookie duration lasts (I think its 7 days) - this could put a whole new slant on things tfor me!
Thats correct, once they have visited eBay via your link a cookie is set and ANY sale is counted regardless of what the product they originally clicked was. EDIT: I also read somewhere the cookie lasts 30 days? but someone needs to confirm that.
The 30 days part is for the Signup(ACRU). They must buy within that time to get it. drax2006: You should read this: 17 Mistakes With BANS or phpBAY(API/Plugin) It's good for your Joomla site too. Btw, nice header on your site.
Yeah, you've gotta drop as many cookies as you can. You never know when someone's grandma is going use the same computer and buy some knitting supplies with your Lego cookie Good to see that the site is useful And before some paranoid nitwit chimes in about how myepnreport.com could steal your super secret niche, please read the privacy policy, and be aware that there are much easier ways to find out what's selling on eBay - like using the API: http://developer.ebay.com/DevZone/javascript/docs/JSDocs/logical/FindPopularItemsRequestType.html /\ /\ Big tip for people looking for new niches ---- Oh, and it's a 7 day cookie: ---
