I'm confused if a certian topic would be considered allowed or not allowed.

While people were talking about the positives of mochiads and asking about it I blurted the following:

Is this considered allowed or am I guilty of an infraction for my negative comment on the company?

As I've strictly read the rules the closest thing I would think it unacceptable is that it may fall under Attacking/harassing other members, but its very common that people often say paypal is bad, this place is bad, this site doesn't help....etc.

You're not really attacking someone there - you're just stating an opinion based on your experience.

I'd recommend being more informative about your negative experience, however. A short, uninformative statement may potentially get you into trouble if the wrong moderator sees it.

If OP is asking for opinions I would consider that an acceptable comment. Bill's suggestion is quite good. It always helps to back up your claims.

Were someone selling ads on a site called mochiads and you made such a post it would be considered an inappropriate comment in a sales thread. In a sales thread appropriate posts are questions for seller that would be beneficial to thread readers and responses to questions by seller. Posts such as I'm interested, send details, send URL, I sent you a PM etc. are inappropriate as would be any exchange only pertinent to thread starter and person making post in thread.

Also, it's a good idea to make sure you mention that it's your particular experience, and not a wider libelous claim if they do in fact pay out to others. Other than that, as Shannon said, just make sure it's not hijacking a sales thread. Even if you were unhappy with them previously, if you didn't take part in a deal because of that thread, reviews don't belong in it.
