Yes, and in my first post I asked why dalits are treated so bad. I understand now that there is a willingness to keep the problem there, a willingness from the non-dalits that is. Non-dalit people are afraid to lose money and influence when the dalits get power. I suspect you are representative of them, and I dont say that to insult you, I just read that from your posts. I could be wrong though. 17 years olds make such cheap comments. You know very well that the international community have done and make changes possible in countries.
There is a reservation for dalit not only in jobs but in politcal assemblies too. Mayawati is the CM of a state having more than 100 million people. She is the only genuine Dalit leader. Whom do you else think of any being genuine dalit leader? Don't have any names ? No.......That is why I asked you brush yourselves with some current affairs of India before you talk about it
The need of having reservations for dalit tells me a lot on how the rest of the indian people look at dalits. If there was no reservations for dalits, the dalits would not get anything. If the rest of the indian people had a positive view on the dalits there would be no need for reservations.
since ur stats seem to be so much in order and in reply i get answers "YES" i would just like to point out some quotes and tables "Dalits and tribals are increasingly marginalised. " - India: Whithering of the Welfare State - UNDP report http://www.dgroups.org/groups/Reservation4dalits/docs/MDG_and_Dalits.doc?OutsideInServer=rules questions that i am making some clarifications: please respond i think this statement of urs "Because they are our Kings, Our Masters. We are Slaves." means that they are well off arent they ? if not then i please clarify what u mean by kings and slaves comparison. in normal thinking and rationale i think this is normally made to comapre the wellbeing only Mental and acceptance gap. WOW.. i am hearing for the first time that "widening the gap" can also mean this thing instead of the conventional thing that normal people tend to take it "rising economic inequality". and offcourse it is no surprise thats why u dont believe in the whole system and what our planning plans do.. no surprises because when a 5year plan says "We will work on reducing the gap between people" then u take it as being acceptance gaps haha
doesnt the fact that u cant name any more CMs proove that dalits do not have the necessary power be it economic or political?? that they are supressed? that they still have not equalled upper castes (not taking of individual cases but in general).. and they are clearly not the "kings" as somebody in this august debate mentioned
M. karunanidhi , M koda are lower caste CM's. Forget about lower caste only , our PM is a sikh ( 1.5 %) , Chairperson of ruling party , a christain ( 2 %) , vice president of India a Muslim ( 15 %)..... What abou them ?
Champ Rock , u haven't still come up with any genuine dalit leader . U discared mayawati to be a true representative of Dalits
lol it is amusing that Manmohan Singh (a sikh) is being brought in a debate of dalits, that Muslims are being borught in this and also M. karunanidhi , M koda are lower caste CM's .. not exactly dalits are they??
that is my sole point Software_outsourcing . i am also saying that there are no dalit leaders which show that dalits are oppressed and are not yet on equal footage to upper castes
ok so Minister of Social justice being a dalit makes the full dalit community better off right? they are better according to u since they are represented by ONE minister ?? the point is that they should have equal representation in order to prove the fact that they are on a equal footing with upper castes....
You wanna hear more , Paswan is the Steel Minister , Sushil Kumar Shinde is the Power Minister .. more ?
I don't feel insulted because I believe you are not Indian and know only what you read in international media about India and it's dalit problem. Apparently you have no idea about the Indian politics and it's ground reality. So I dont even consider what you said as insult, I call it illusion. The funny thing what I see when I work in the field, that about 70% of the people working for Dalit welfare are Upper Caste people like me. 15% are Foreigners without any clue what to do and rest 15% are actually Dalit social worker and students. Never seen any rich Dalit (And believe me there are plenty) working towards betterment of Poor Dalits, yet they don't miss any opportunity to cash any plans for Dalits. And Dalit leaders, Dare I mention Laloo Prasad Yadav? Indulged in several scams, Politics is a family business for him. He owns assets worth more than 1000 crore illegally. He is honorable Railway Minister of India right now. Any fucking shit he has ever done for Dalits? fuck no. Mayawati another hot shot Dalit Leader.. Different name same fucking story, and the list goes on... Ohh Login, I can only wish if you were right. If it was a willingness to keep the problem there from the non-dalits. If Non-dalit people are afraid to lose money and influence when the dalits get power. If I was representative of them. Only if this all was true, Dalits would have been in a better position now. For Example?
This is all you need to know Try to think and live outside of Media circus. You would hear and learn many new things. Stop being, As AGS puts it, a sheep. You are a joke, right? Do you even know that there are 121 Dalit MPs in Parliament? fairly representing the 20% population of Dalits. I bet you had no idea about that...
Widening Gap = Rising income inequality in common man's thinking ... and u call that "Try to think and live outside of Media circus." ?? i am not sure who is "sheep" there anyways am leaving this discussion now as this is getting to personal remarks "sheep" and "sarcasm" (in that second paragraph only, i am using the same technique which was explained so kindly by u)
You don't know what 'sarcasm' is? Now I understand why you are unable to comprehend half of the things I say...
So what do you want The Webmaster, do you want equal opportunities for the dalits kids and your kids? I dont think you want that because you look at dalits as dirty people below your standard. You dont look at dalits as equal people to you.
I want the tax money that I'm paying, being used in the betterment of Dalits, doesn't go into the pockets of politicians. I want them to rework on the plans around the ground reality. I want them to get rid of the Caste system, I want them to scarp it, make it illegal, just as they did with child marriage. I want a fucking working solution, not a handicap solution like the one we have right now... How hard is it to understand? Yes.. Then I blame your inability to think. Or your ability/intention to comprehend things into some twisted and broken forms. Or your choice of selective reading, missing out the parts where I mentioned that I work with a society for welfare of Dalits. I leave the choice, pick whatever is true...
I will pick your strange aggressive answer on my first post denying that the dalits have a problem, talking about how we should feel pity for the upper class. You work with charity for the dalits? I dont believe you, a man that write a post like your first post does not do that. Or maybe you started to work with charity after posting that post
