confused about co.in co.uk co.whatever

I was wondering, if I would buy this domain name: http://www.co.in , could I create subdomains like: http://www.google.co.in ?
Yes I know google.co.in is already a registered domain name, but if you have your domain as: co.in you can create easily any subdomains like: google.co.in ... etc

Could someone explain this a little more? If is possible or not?..

 

I think you could but the difficult part will be to get that domain name co.in.Is a premium domain name and also a good hack.

 

You could do a subdomain, yeah but co.in is already registered: http://who.is/whois/co.in

 

If you buy .co.in or .co.uk or similar type of TLDs, your url will be www dot yourdomain dot co.xx
If you create a sub-domain, it will be like this www dot subdomain dot yourdomain dot co.xx

 

I think he was reffering at only www.co.in LL premium indian domain name.He will never get that one.

 

of course I cannot afford that amount of money for the domain name

 

If you are in the mood of open any subdomain website like co.nr etc Please be sure , you must have to control spam otherwise your business shut down like co.cc

 

ehhh... I figured out that you cannot buy the domain name: co.in
the tricky part is... when you access this site: http://www.co.in/ (premium domain) actually the true domain is www.co.in (http://www.www.co.in/)

that means you will never get a domain name like: co.in or co.uk

 

.in and .co.in both are different, So if available then you can book both.
Both points to country specific level, It want help you much in Global aspect, but it will help you a lot in Country specific level.

 

.co.in is a tld like .in
So you can't buy. Also LL .in domain are not sold by inregistrar.
But may be in future they will make auction for two letter .in domain names like pc.in
