Confused about a redirect...

I have a site that has almost 1,000 pages indexed. The problem is that the site only gets about 250 daily visitors. I would like to send that traffic to another site I have, but keep all the pages indexed just as they are, so I can't do a 301 redirect.

So, if I put up a javascript redirect, would that help? Would I be able to keep my pages and send my visitors to the other site? Any other suggestions of how could I do this?

That would work, but this seems a little shifty, not sure what the woed on redirects in the eyes of the SE's are.

That's the problem, I have read the Google hates this kind of redirects. Andthe site that I would be sending the traffic to has great rankings, so last thing I would want to do is cause any loss in the SERPs

How about a Flyin ad? maybe about the same size equivilent of the site you have it on. Then when that ad is clicked on it will lead to your new site.

It works and fly in ads can be pretty much customizable i.e you dont even have to show a close button.
And your old site will stay indexed

You could do a pop-under on window close, "advertising" your other site. That would be a good way to get some traffic to it.

Any kind of redirect is going to be bad unless you a) don't mind losing rankings or b) are shifting rankings to another site (301's).
