He might just be saying that the white text "Ads by Yahoo" is almost invisible against the light blue border of the ad. Am I right?

I've seen sites doing this all the time. The text "Ads by Yahoo" is white or light colored and the site will have a very very light pink or light blue background thus making the ads by yahoo almost invisible.

    Is this against the TOS???

Yes, I'm saying exactly that white text is almost invisible against the light blue border of the ad.
Actually, It should be against TOS, but who we're to decide? that is Yahoo is one who can decide :)

i had my account suspended a while back because the ads by yahoo was barely visible... not that that was my fault or that i had any control over the color of the ads by yahoo text. i ended up changing my bkgd colors slightly until it stood out a little more clearly. ypn got me back up and running in a few days after i fixed that problem. a little email warning would have been nice instead of suspension.

i thought i read on their blog that they had fixed this issue. apparently not.
