Ive been using many of the online pagerank tools for my blog (www.jt-culture.com), and they have all told me my pagerank is 0. I have just installed Google Toolbar, and its telling me my pagerank is 4!! This is confusing; who should I believe? Thanks
Hmm, and now its changed back to 0!! I hope this is a prediction! Mods you can lock/delete this if you want
Here's a tool that let's you view pagerank results from multiple data-centers on one screen: Google PageRank Checker In my experience, the only time you would see conflicting results is when a Google Dance PR update is in progress.
its because just before the PR update, all google datacentres change to 0. thats why its not showing 4
The site is new though, its never been anything above 0. Its just for a few minutes the toolbar was showing 4.
Looks like you'll probably be getting a PR4, then. Congrats. The difference is because the toolbar PR export doesn't roll out to all the datacenters at the same time. It takes a while (even days!) for all the datacenters to be updated. best, Denise
sometime while switching sites with tabs (especially in FF), the toolbar PR doesnt change. Its just a bug, its basically freezes and show u a pr of site you were looking at before switchin to this site.
That's not even close to true, please stop making stuff up. Quail, on occasion the Toolbar will hold over from the last site you visited, and not change even though you are on a new page. There's a good chance that's what you saw, especially if the page you visited before your homepage was a PR4. -Michael
I agree with this statement it can be a toolbar bug.. as we also faced this last PR update.... for a week it showed 3 PR and than it became 0 for a new website.
You Saw PR 4 because, Just before visiting your site... you probably visited a website (on the same window) which was PR 4......and once you moved to your Home page.... the Toolbar couldn't update the PR from 4 to 0....So it was displaying 4 for a while...and Now probably aft you refreshed your page...its back to 0 again. Its happens with Google Toolbar..sometimes....Now sure why...maybe its a bug...
No sorry my issue is that we changed the htaccess.....ie......from http to https Well that is 301 redirect......Well there is a drastic shift in google position on the targeted keyword.....Can Some one sort it out.....Thanks in advance
