The Google help center says: "The Quality Score used to determine your ad's rank is slightly different from the keyword Quality Score used to determine your ad's minimum CPC bid requirement. Your keyword's overall Quality Score considers the keyword's clickthrough rate (CTR) and the relevance of the keyword, your ad's text, and landing page. The Quality Score used for ad ranking considers your keyword's CTR, ad text relevance, and your keyword's relevance in relation to a user's search query." That seems to indicate to me that landing page qulity is afactor for minimum CPC's, but not for your Ad rank. However, I had heard otherwise, and here is what a Google rep told me: Adam: so will improving the quality of my landing page increase my ad rank? Ray: It can help decreases costs and increase the Quality Score. Ray: That will positively impact rank. Does anyone else have any experience as to whether landing page quality affects your Adrank?
Personally I think they'll roll it out sometime in Q2 and make an announcement on the AdWords blog. I haven't seen any compelling evidence that leads me to believe it's in play yet. That said, Google doesn't check with me before policy & program changes (I'll keep trying though )
