    Hi All,
I am a newbie in DigitalPoint. I am trying to setup a custom intranet search engine for our network on a PHP/MySQL/Windows XP Platform.
I need text, images, multimedia (audio/video) indexing features. I tried using DataparkSearch utility with Cygwin Linux utility. I have not been able to crack it so far. Could anyone please guide me further? Please suggest any other search tools possible, preferably one with windows binaries?

I tried posting this query last week in
Digital Point Forums > Search Engines > All Other Search Engines
but got no replies. If this is not the right place please suggest where i could post my query.

    Thanks,
    Anup Nair

Kinda confused on what you are trying to accomplish. Maybe simply say what you want it to do?

Thanks a lot for your response.

Ok, guess i was kind of fuzzy. I want a search engine tool which i can use to create an intranet search engine for my network. it should index my existing MySQL tables. This database holds user details, content (documents, images, video, audio), community info etc. in separate tables. When a user searches for a keyword I need that engine to search across all these tables and give me ordered results. This is the most important feature I need.

Secondary features include indexing documents based on content (doc, ppt, pdf) for eg. like Google Book Search. Also, I need for it to index physical audio files based on their meta tags.

    Any help is appreciated.

You might be able to find a PHP script that would do this. Look on the sites that have a ton of scripts, or Google or something.
