Conent vs referrals

I was just wondering, would it be more worth while to display google adwords/adsense referrals, as opposed to content ads? Or, if there were to be 2 blocks of google ads, would it benefit more to have 2 blocks of content ads, or one block of referral, and one block of content?

Just wondered which people seemed more drawn in by, or would it just depend on the individuals aspect of it?

It depends what your site is about. If it's something like how to make money online, then an Adsense referral would probably be better than content ads.

Same thing as above. :) I find that the FireFox referral tends to work well on most, if not all, sites.

    Hi Ian

Why one or the other? Referral buttons generally get placed completely differently to the content ads. If you can get away with both, use both.

Okay, thanks for the info. I was just wondering if it would benefit me more to have multiple ad blocks, rather than an ad block, and a referral block. I will get some referrals up and see how I get on.
    Thanks for the info.

I you have a webmaster related site with articles related to internet, browsing, browsers etc, FF referrers etc work very well. For a rich content based site related to any other topic, adsense ads are much better.

That's my experience as well. The google-referrals give me almost no money.
