Hello there, i am thinking of starting a blog my self (how innovative!:p). Well anyways. I have big plans for it (who wouldn't) so i am thinking about shared hosts and their capabilities of standing many online members on a page without collapsing.

I will use wordpress and as far as i know, it's one of the lightest blogs in terms of cpu needed. How many concurrent users do you think i can have on a shared host reading my blog and changing pages, before i see the page down ? Previous experience on the specific subject would be highly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance!

Actually WP is one of the most processor intensive pieces of software you can get. Each page load uses about 17 queries to your database. Imagine that when you get on Digg!

There are Wordpress caching plugins that you can use which should make it work fine though. If you use caching you will be able to get dugg no probs.

Also depends upon the number and type of plugins you use...BTW, WP cache isnt so stable yet.

You can get a VPS...they are cheap nowadays.
