    hey guys, im jason.

so i took a job designing a website and the customer has asked me to upload a video from a disc she created while overseas. Sure no problem.

The disc is in VCD format and frankly this is my first time dealing with it. Ultimately, I need a mpeg or avi just something modern i can use to upload to google video or youtube or similar.

The file structure is very strange to me and the level of compression is crazy high.

Does anyone know where i should begin?

    Thanks in advance!

    p.s.: i cant believe i mis-spelled converting in the title...

find the DAT file inside the CD, and just rename it to MPG
you can play it or upload it to any sites/media players
