concerned about duplicate content in my blog

When I make a post to my blog, I also copy and paste it to its own .htm page.
Is having the post twice (once on blog, again on its own page) going to be a problem for me?
I think it might be... but then again, it seems this is the way everyone has their blogs setup.....

    thanks for your help

No problem at all, but sort of a waste of time if people who can read your htm pages can look at the blog entry instead.

I do this as well especially if I have no article to place in my page and I just want it to have a fresh look.

No penalties whatsoever, but the all duplicates I believe are ignored by Google.

May I ask why you paste it to its own .htm page?

Simple solution: Place a link to your blog in your web site's navigation menu
